Firstly create a new web document. The first tool i used was the text tool, Its on the left tool bar as the letter T.
It will prompt you to create a text box for which you can type what you want and get given loads of options to edit your text along the top tool bar.
You can import images by dragging them in from where the file is.
once imported you may have to resize by going into, object - transform - scale, to rescale your image.
It is best though to make sure you image sizes are the right size before importing, or resize them in photoshop, because you will loose quality if you resize in indesign.

Emporio Armani
The main colour in this photo is red which shows power, and dominance in this image. Also the women is the only person wearing the red, and the guy is wearing black, this could show that she has more power and in more control. She is also touching the walls which are red as well, and blocking the mans path. Also the stairs are black and leading up into somewhere, this can trick you and make you think of all sorts of places it can lead to.

twizzy advert
The task was to work in groups and use the new Renault twizzy and make an advert to try and sell it, in a similar style to what you would see in a magazine.

This is one that one of my group members max came up with. He wanted to use the fact that the car is small and light and adapt that into his advert. so as you can see, he's done a good job in showing this by placing it on a hand.
Here is one that I've done, this advertisement doesnt really have a message behind it, I just made it to count as another advert and I had some free time. I actually quite like the end result though, I think the blue smoke looks really cool and it shows that its a fast little car

Website banners

I like this web banner of google's because every now and t hen on a famous day they change the way there banner looks by making interactive.
I got this advert from YouTube. I chose it because I've seen a lot of the Fosters adverts and find them really amuzing. Basically this is advertising a call centre for peopel to ring up about there mates if they have problems or need some advice.
This advert was from Pixologic advertising the 3d modeling program ZBrush. I chose it because its something Im really quite interested in and i think think the advert is generally really appealing to look at and grabs your eye.
Magazine adverts
I like his advertisement because, it is showing an arm with loads of messages all over it like, 'what to do list' etc. The advert is saying if you buy this organiser you can write down all of this information in your organiser so you dont have to write it on your arm to remind yourself. I think this is a good way to try and advertise something.

I thought this advertisement was really cool because its something you dont really see in a magazine. Also it shows what the product there advertising does. As its waxing strips it was a really good idea to use the page as a giant waxing strip so as you turn the page it acts as a strip and then when you reveal the second page its got the hairs stuck on it.
I thought this was also a good advertisement for Ikea. There trying to advertise a sliding wardrobe and by putting a picture of the wardrobe then being able to slide it on the page, is just a great idea to see what the product is like without having to go and look at it. It also shows how much you can store in it, and by putting the words 'slide to show' on the page it makes the reader actually look at it and try it out.#
TV adverts
Guerilla Advertising

I really like this ad because its clearly telling you to think of the children out there who cant afford food. By putting a picture of children who look like there hungry at the bottom of your shopping basket it makes you think about them as you place your food in there.
I like this because its just such a simple idea but really effective and you can tell what it is as soon as you look at it so its not hard to understand what it is.
I like this ad because its trying to say, why use a gun when you can use this hoover?. Putting the message across that this hoover is really powerful and does its job of cleaning really well and there's no other hoover like it.
